Outstanding Renewal Enterprises, Inc. aka the Lower East Side Ecology
Center has had three main objectives since its inception in 1987:
1. To provide community based recycling and composting programs to
supplement existing NYC curbside programs,
2. To develop local stewardship of public open space and
3. To increase community awareness, involvement, and youth development
through environmental education programs.
