SUMMARY:Community Indigo Dye
DESCRIPTION:Come overdye your faded clothes with our shared indigo bath. \nOverdye your faded clothes with indigo and give them a new life! We’ll have a community indigo dye bath available for you to upcycle an article of clothing. SUMMARY:Tree Leaf ID Walk
DESCRIPTION:Come with us as we wander through the Lower East Side\, identifying trees around the neighborhood by their new spring leaves. You may recognize your human neighbors\, but what about your tree neighbors? There are millions of trees from over 200 species in New York City. In this walk we will talk about different species of trees planted in NYC and how they are able to thrive in the harsh urban environment. We will learn to recognize different trees by their leaves as well as their bark\, roots\, branches\, and even flowers. We will visit trees that are native to this land and trees that have been introduced at different points in history. \nSign Up →
