DESCRIPTION:Join us for a community clothing swap—refresh your wardrobe for spring while reducing textile waste and connecting with your neighbors. Together\, we can keep perfectly good clothing out of landfills\, share what we already have\, and remember that collectively\, we have more than enough to go around. \nBring clean\, gently used clothing that no longer serves you—whether it no longer fits or just doesn’t spark joy—and exchange it for something new-to-you. For every item you contribute\, you’ll receive one token (up to 15 total)\, which can be used to “shop” the swap. \nClothing contributions can be dropped off at the Center for Wellbeing and Happiness on Saturday May 9 between 10:30am and 4:30pm or on Tuesday May 12 between 2:00 and 5:00pm. \nRegistration is encouraged but not required. \nThis workshop is part of our Reuse and Re-Imagine Series – A new series of workshops designed to empower our community with new skills while keeping waste out of landfills. \nFunding provided by the Environmental Protection Fund as administered by NYS Department of Environmental Conservation.\n\nSign up

SUMMARY:Femme Fishing
DESCRIPTION:Come fish with us to learn more about our local waterway – the East River! All are welcome\, whether it’s your first time fishing or you’re a professional angler. Instruction\, bait\, and tackle will be provided. This will be catch and release fishing only. Participants under 16 years old must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. \nFemme fishing is fishing for everyone. Designed for femme\, nonbinary\, and allied cis friends\, these events are led by femme environmental educators. We foster inclusive\, supportive spaces where both new and experienced anglers can build community\, explore our waterways\, and develop new skills.
