DESCRIPTION:The Lower East Side Ecology Center and Make Meadows present Green Between\, an outdoor exhibition that reimagines a community garden as a living gallery where art and ecology come together. The exhibition celebrates the diversity of urban nature and invites New Yorkers to take a closer look at native plants that support a healthy\, thriving garden. Often overlooked or removed\, these plants play an important role in feeding pollinators\, improving soil\, and creating habitat for urban wildlife. \nOpening Celebration: 4-6 pm August 15\, 2026 \nOn view at the Clyde Romero Memorial Garden: Aug 15- Nov 1\, 2026 \nFeaturing: Abby Kamagate\, Ana Ratner\, Anahit Pogosian\, Kalen Kaminski\, Kathleen McCarthy\, Kevin Woon\, Qian Liao\, True Bend Studio\, and V Walton. \nThis project is made possible in part with funds from a regrant program supported by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by Lower Manhattan Cultural Council.
