Lower East Side Care Captain Training with NYC Parks

Saturday, May 17 10 am–12 pm

Become a Care Captain! Join us to learn about street trees and how you can help us care for our urban forest. This in-person training and street tree care activity will teach you to become a ‘Care Captain’ and empower you to help protect and care for street trees. Learn arboricultural principles and how they can be applied to caring for NYC’s urban forest, while activating your community for environmental health and resilience. Upon completing the training, attendee will be eligible for their free Care Captain toolkit! Instructions for picking up the toolkit will be shared once you are registered for a training. This event is in partnership with LES Ecology Center with funding provided by DEC.

 

Meeting Location: Madison Street and Clinton Street

This is a rain or shine event. In the event of heavy rain, the training will be moved indoors.
