Celebrate City of Forest Day and let your inner artist loose by caring for the urban tree canopy of the Lower East Side with the LES Ecology Center and Adamah NY.
In this event, we will learn about the urban forest of NYC, including basic tree ID methods, and care for trees in the historic Lower East Side tenement district. Together, we will clean tree beds, cultivate soil, apply NYC-made compost, water trees, and create hand-made tree bed signs. All materials provided!
