Kick off the new year with a fresh start in your kitchen—starting with your fridge. Together, we will learn how to turn forgotten, overlooked ingredients into something exciting and delicious. Save money, reduce food waste, and build confidence in using what you already have!
Participants can expect a live cooking demonstration from Chef Al featuring multiple recipes that creatively use common fridge staples and lingering odds and ends. There will be plenty of tasting, tips, and adaptable techniques you can use at home.
Got something wilty, an old jar of olives, or a sauce thats been tucked in a corner for months, or even years? Bring it with you! We’ll also learn how to tell if something has truly gone bad or if it’s salvegable and we’ll give you recipes for using that item up!
This workshop is part of our Reuse and Re-Imagine Series – A new series of workshops designed to empower our community with new skills while keeping waste out of landfills.
Funding provided by the Environmental Protection Fund as administered by NYS Department of Environmental Conservation.
