The Lower East Side Tool Lending Library is a free hyper-local community resource for folks residing or working in zip codes 10002, 10003, 10038, 10009. Our purpose is to increase accessibility to stewardship tools and empower our community to steward open spaces and green spaces, such as street trees, community gardens, and parks. Members pick-up and drop-off tools on Sundays at the Lower East Side Ecology Center food scrap drop-off site at the Tompkins Square Park GreenMarket.

The Tool Lending Library is an initiative in collaboration with the Forest for All NYC coalition and sponsored by The Nature Conservancy. This initiative is in the early stages of what we hope to be a thriving hub network across the five boroughs.
