About the Project:
Know a street tree near you that could use a little extra help? We are seeking recommendations for street trees in our neighborhood to receive tree guards!
The Lower East Side Ecology Center is a recipient of a Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) grant to install tree guards to support the Environmental Justice/ Disadvantaged Communities of the East Village and Lower East Side neighborhoods.
The Lower East Side Ecology Center is partnering with NYC Parks Tree Time to install tree guards to selected trees through 2026.
